9. Cheeky's for breakfast or lunch. Amazing food and homemade drinks : )

10. Ace Hotel & Swim Club: Go there mid week for a realxing get-a-way. Sit poolside w/ a tecate, mojito, or bloody mary (all my favorites) and just enjoy the heat. Or if you're up for a party, go during the weekend.

My top 10 favorites in Los Angeles

This is a work in progress...

6. People watching at Sunset Junction.

7. Confederacy Mens clothing. And there's an Umami Burger a few doors down. While you're in the area, go get yourself a hair cut at Sweeney Todds Barber Shop.

8. The Getty. On your way stop off at Whole Foods and pack a picnic. Then head to the Getty and find yourself a nice spot on the lawn. Enjoy the views, the architecture, and the sunshine (I can't promise sunshine but more than likely, it'll be sunny : ) Then head in to get inspired.

9. Spend the day in Venice. Shopping all along Abbot Kinney is killer. Be sure to check out Tortoise and Milkmade. Go to Lemonade or Seed for lunch. Then enjoy the show along the boardwalk. Oh, and check out Mollusk surf shop.

10. Umami Burger

My top 10 favorites in San Diego

Just in case you're planning a trip to San Diego or already live here, I thought it might be cool to share a few of the things that I love about SD.

1. The photo-booth at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) in Balboa Park. Get a cup of coffee, take a stroll through the museum and end in the gift shop where the photo-booth is. Don't forget to ask for the prop box (or bring your own).

UPDATE: I'm sad to say that they have gotten rid of the photo-booth at MOPA. Lame...

2. Doing the boutique rounds downtown. Station, Igloo, Subtext, 5A & Dime, Blends, & Face Value.

3. Yogurt shop - Yog-Art (2 locations) Hillcrest and North Park. Try the taro with oats and chocolate chips. So Good!

4. Picnic at Windansea. You can grab some Mexican food at Wahoo's (Pig bowl) or a super fresh fish sandwich (blackened swordfish with avocado) from El Pescador.

5. In the mood for chocolate chip cookies, or any other for that matter, try Uncle Biff's in Hillcrest. There are always fresh warm cookies waiting for you. Grab a seat and have a glass of milk.

6. Sunset Cliffs, just south of Ocean Beach. The name says it all. Perfect all year around but best surf in the winter.

7. The Coffee Cup in La Jolla. Amazing breakfast. Perfect after a great surf.

8. Core Power Yoga studio, warm to hot yoga that will make you feel like a new person. Go to January's class.

9. Bike rides - It's an amazing way to see the city from a different perspective. Whether it's through one of the beautiful neighborhoods, along the coast, or downtown, there's always plenty to see.

10. Being at home and nesting.

UPDATE: I'm now living in LA and hope to create a similar list for my new city. Stay tuned...
